We are excited to announce the September 2011 launch of a USA based training center.  This training center serves the entire body of Christ, equipping leaders to build the Kingdom.  For more info about Church of the Nations (COTN) and the Makarios Cluster please visit us at www.cotn.org and www.cotnmakarios.org.

The Makarios Training Center is based in Carthage, MO and linked closely with  BYKOTA Ministries, the COTN hub-church in the mid-west. The center hosts short-term courses in a variety of fields from Fathers and Sons, Marketplace and Kingdom Planting, Music/Worship, to Art, Media, Photography, and much more, all designed to further the influence and advancement of His Kingdom here on Earth.

An excellent Bed & Breakfast property has been provided for this purpose. The center is administrated by David and Rhonda Lettow.

The first course, "Advancing the Kingdom Through Fathers and Sons" was hosted by Tony Fitzgerald September 15 - 19, 2011. Please see "Upcoming Courses" for more information and to register for future courses.

What is Makarios? PDF Print E-mail

The word "makarios" is the Greek word which is translated into English in the Beatitudes as "blessed" or "happy." However, it means far more than this. The Amplified Bible helps to shed some light on this in the first verses of Matthew 5. There are numerous descriptors used in these verses such as happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous-- with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions, and many more which describe this state of being "blessed."

The island of Cyprus was at one time referred to as "Makarios." The Greeks believed that if you were fortunate enough to live on Cyprus, you would never need to leave it's shores for anything. Perhaps this is one of the best ways to describe this state of "makarios" that Jesus would have us live in and from to accomplish His mandate on the Earth today.
